Lecture 1 Introduction to Entanglement: Schmidt Theory and Quantum Dynamics
Abstract: We will illustrate the conditional character of two-party entanglement and introduce quantum measures that are able to respond to both reversible and irreversible changes in entanglement.
Lecture 2 Mysteries of Entanglement: Photons and Fields
Abstract: The impact of entanglement on the quantum view of Nature will be illustrated. Does the two-photon interferometer of Clauser produce a paradoxical violation of an obvious Bell inequality, or does classical field theory resolve it?
主讲人简介：
Joseph H. Eberly教授是国际著名的量子光学领域权威专家，现供职于美国罗彻斯特大学和罗彻斯特理论研究中心，担任Andrew Carnegie讲席教授。他于1962年在斯坦福大学取得物理学博士学位，曾于2007年担任美国光学学会 (OSA) 主席，是美国光学学会 (OSA)资深会士，美国物理学会 (APS) 会士及其激光科学分会 (DLS) 主席，美国物理协会 (AIP)董事，波兰科学院外籍院士，也是光学领域重要学术期刊Optics Express的创刊主编和罗彻斯特理论研究中心的创建者。Eberly教授在强场电离过程、量子光学理论、纠缠动力学等领域都做出过重要成果，发表学术论文超过350篇，曾获美国光学学会 (OSA) 杰出贡献奖、Frederick Ives奖章、Charles Hard Towns奖、波兰物理学会Smoluchowski奖章和德国洪堡基金会洪堡奖等诸多重量级学术奖项，著有Optical Resonance and Two-Level Atoms(光学共振与二能级原子)、Lasers (激光)、Laser Physics (激光物理) 等多部学术名著。
