  • Novel Optical Network Novel network concepts and architectures for future services application, network control, protocols and advanced switching technologies including optical packet switching (OPS), optical burst switching (OBS), and optical time-space label switching. New concepts and techniques for merging fixed and mobile networks.
  • Optical Fiber Transmission High spectral efficiency and low cost optical fiber transmission, optical free-space communication, radio-over-fiber (ROF) transmission. Impairments and cancellation in high speed optical communication system. Advanced modulation formats and electrical equalization for optical communication system.
  • CPhotonic Device and Subsystem Novel passive and active optical devices, including broadband amplifier, photonic crystal devices, all-optical logic devices, all-optical signal processing, wavelength conversion,format conversion, optical sensors, slow light and its application.
