About Us People Research Student Cooperation
Research Areas Key Laboratories

The school of EECS offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the field of electronics engineering and computer science. Every year, the school awards Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.), Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees to hundreds of students.

Undergraduate Program

In the school of EECS, undergraduate students can pursue four Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees, which are offered by four departments, respectively. In each September, about 350 freshmen are enrolled to the school. According to the university policy, all students can select a field of study at the end of the freshman year. The normal length of the undergraduate program is four years.

Students are organized in the following four departments, each offering the corresponding degree.

Electronics Science and Engineering Computer Science and Technology
Microelectronics Intelligent Science and Technology

M.S. Program

The school admits about 300 excellent students to its M.S. program every year. Most of them are selected directly from senior undergraduate students who showed excellent tracking

while the rest are admitted based on the graduate entrance examination organized by the Ministry of Education. The normal length of the M.S. program is three years.

Currently, a total of eleven M.S. degrees are offered.

Computer Architecture Computer Software and Theory
Applied Computer Technology Physical Electronics
Circuits and Systems Micro-electronics and Solid-State Electronics
Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology Communication and Information System
Signal and Information Processing Acoustics
Radio physics

Ph.D. Program

About 100 students join the Ph.D. program in the School of EECS every year. There are three ways for students to enter the Ph.D. program: (1) Take the entrance examination of the Ph.D program. (2) Transfer from the M.S. program to the Ph.D. program at the third semester. (3) Apply the Ph.D. program directly when they are senior undergraduate students. The normal length to pursue a Ph.D. degree is four years for students with a M.S. degree and six years for those entered with only a B.S. degree.
